About Game Save Lab
What this site is
Game Save Lab is a set of free save editors for single-player PC games that run in your web browser. Each editor opens a save file from your computer, shows what is inside it in plain words, and lets you repair or change it: fix a file the game refuses to load, get past a progress bug, or adjust a character the way you want to play.
It is an unofficial fan project made by players who enjoy taking game files apart. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any game developer or publisher.
How the editors work
There is nothing to install and nothing is uploaded. The page reads your save with JavaScript on your own device, and an edited copy is written there and downloaded straight to your computer. We never receive or see your files.
Rules every editor follows
Offline single-player only. The editors are for games and characters you play on your own. Please don't use edited saves on multiplayer or public servers.
No backups on our side. The editors never keep a copy of your files. Copy your original save yourself before replacing it: edits are at your own risk, and every download asks you to confirm that you have a backup.
Supported versions are stated. Each editor's page says which game versions and editions it supports.
Free, with ads
The editors are free to use. The site is paid for by ads from Google AdSense: they help us cover the costs of updating the editors and hosting the site. How the ads work and how to change your choices is explained in the privacy policy.
Languages
The English version is the primary one. The other languages were added using automated translation, so some wording may be imperfect. Item names and translations were taken from the games themselves wherever possible. If you spot a mistake in a translation, please tell us through the Contact page.
