Where are my saves?

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\
Linux / Steam Deck (Proton)
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/526870/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/

Each folder in SaveGames is one account; inside, every session has its own autosaves and manual saves (.sav). Pick the newest save of your session.

Copy the save somewhere safe before editing. The editor doesn’t keep backups.

Questions

Where does Satisfactory keep saves?

On Windows in %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\<account>\. Each session has autosaves and manual saves; open the newest .sav of your session.

Is my save uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and written in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.

Does it work for multiplayer or dedicated servers?

No. It is meant for your own offline single-player saves only.

What happens when I unlock a milestone here?

The milestone is marked as purchased with its recipes, inventory slots and features, as if you had bought it in the HUB. Items a milestone hands out when bought aren’t given.

Which versions are supported?

Saves from Satisfactory 1.0 and later. Back up your save first: edits are at your own risk.
