Rogue Legacy 2 Save Editor
Explore, repair and customize your family’s legacy: gold, ore, aether and souls, the heir about to enter the castle and their traits, class mastery, the Manor, the Soul Shop, runes and gear, heirlooms, burdens, Scars and House Rules.
Offline single-player only. This editor is for your own single-player saves. It runs entirely in your browser: the files never leave your computer.
What you can do
Gold, ore, aether and souls
Set the gold in hand and in the Offshore Bank, the ore for the Blacksmith, the aether for the Enchantress and the souls for the Soul Shop.
The heir
Rename the heir, change their class (with its weapon and talent), pick a spell the class can cast and choose their traits.
Class mastery
Set each class’s mastery rank, up to the limit the Soul Shop allows.
The Manor
Build the Manor’s upgrades and set every upgrade’s level, class unlocks included.
Soul Shop
Set the level of every Soul Shop item and how many of its levels are active, and add souls to spend.
Runes and gear
Find, buy and upgrade every rune at the Enchantress and every piece of gear at the Blacksmith, with the blueprints they need.
Heirlooms, teleporters and burdens
Unlock heirlooms and teleporters, and set the burdens of New Game+.
Relics
During a run, set how many of each relic the heir carries.
Scars and House Rules
Mark Scars as found and set their bronze, silver or gold trophies, which bring their souls; change the game’s House Rules.
Where are my saves?

Each profile is a ProfileN folder (Profile0 is the first) inside a folder named after your Steam account number. The editor needs Player.rc2dat, Equipment.rc2dat and GameMode.rc2dat from it; it changes only the files you edit. Close the game before copying or replacing files.
With Steam Cloud on, Steam may put back its own copy of the files. Replace them while Steam is closed, or choose the local files if Steam asks which copy to keep.
Copy the ProfileN folder somewhere safe before editing. The editor doesn’t keep backups.

Where does Rogue Legacy 2 keep its saves?
On Windows in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Cellar Door Games\Rogue Legacy 2\Saves\Steam\<number>\, on a Mac in ~/Library/Application Support/Cellar Door Games/Rogue Legacy 2/Saves/Steam/<number>/. Each profile is a ProfileN folder.
Is my save uploaded anywhere?
No. The files are read and written in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
How do I put the edited save back?
Download the edited files and copy them into the ProfileN folder over the old ones, keeping their names, with the game closed. Only the files you changed are downloaded.
Which versions are supported?
Saves of the released game (version 1.x, including the free updates) from Steam on Windows and Mac. The editor has been tried with Mac saves. Back up your saves first: edits are at your own risk.
Why didn’t my souls go down when I raised Soul Shop levels?
The game counts the souls you can spend from what you have earned minus what the Soul Shop’s levels cost. When you raise or lower levels here, the editor adds or removes the same number of extra souls, so what you can spend stays the same. Set the extra souls yourself to change it.
Can I change the heir in the middle of a run?
It is safest to edit the heir in the Manor, before entering the castle. Changes to the heir made during a run apply when the game next loads the save.
