Skyrim Save Editor
Explore, repair and customize your Dragonborn: name, level, skills, health, magicka and stamina, dragon souls, gold and inventory, and the game’s statistics.
Offline single-player only. This editor is for your own characters in single-player games. It runs entirely in your browser: the file never leaves your computer.
What you can do
Character and skills
Rename your character, change the race and sex, set the level and experience, see all eighteen skills with their progress to the next level, and set any of them from 15 to 100.
Perks and attributes
Take or remove perks rank by rank, the Vampire Lord and Werewolf trees included; set the base health, magicka and stamina the level-ups raised, the carry weight, and the dragon souls you can spend on shouts.
Gold, inventory and containers
See your items with the game’s own names, what is equipped, enchanted, tempered or stolen; add or remove items, clear stolen marks, recharge weapons, fill soul gems, and take what your chests and followers hold.
Magic and shouts
See the spells and powers you learned, learn spells of any school or forget them, and learn or unlock each word of power.
Quests, followers and the world
Repair a stuck quest, clear bounties, see who lives, manage your followers’ gear, let time pass and discover the map’s locations.
Statistics
See and correct the numbers of the General Stats page: locations discovered, quests completed, dragons’ souls collected and the rest.
Where are my saves?

Each save is an .ess file named after its number, the character and the place, such as Save 12 - Dart Whiterun.ess. A .skse file next to it belongs to the script extender: leave it as it is. Close the game before you copy or replace a file.
With Steam Cloud on, Steam may put back its own copy of an edited save. Replace the file while Steam is closed, or turn Steam Cloud off for Skyrim first.
Copy the save somewhere safe before editing. The editor doesn’t keep backups.

Questions
Where does Skyrim keep its saves?
In Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves\ for the original game, and in Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Saves\ for the Special and Anniversary Edition (Skyrim Special Edition GOG or MS for the GOG and Microsoft Store versions).
Is my save uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and written in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
Does it work with mods?
The save opens with any load order, and items from mods are listed with their plugin and form ID. Names are known for the base game, its three expansions and the four Creation Club add-ons every Special Edition has: Survival Mode, Fishing, Rare Curios and Saints & Seducers.
Why are item names in English?
They come from the game’s own English text. The rest of the editor follows the language you pick.
Can I edit console saves?
No. Xbox and PlayStation saves can’t be copied off the console, so the editor works with saves of the PC versions.
What should I do before editing?
Copy your save somewhere safe and close the game. Edits are at your own risk.
